From Feb. 12-16, Leander ISD is celebrating LISD Volunteer Appreciation Week!

“Our district thrives because of our enthusiastic community of volunteers who are consistently willing to step up and step into new environments and opportunities to serve,” Assistant Director of Community Relations Shannon Lombardo said. “We are so grateful to all the individuals who invest their time, resources and strengths into our students. Their service is invaluable.”

The purpose of the Leander ISD volunteer program is to enrich the quality of education for the district’s students by providing opportunities for parents and community members to become actively involved in Leander ISD schools. These opportunities are numerous, and include participation in booster clubs and fundraisers; mentoring students through the HEROES program; joining other parents and teachers to advocate for students through a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA); serving as a positive campus influence through the WATCH D.O.G.S. program; and more.
