During the week of December 2-6, Leander ISD salutes the districtโs school resource officers (SROs) for the important and meaningful work they do each day.
The district partners with local enforcement โ Cedar Park Police Department, Leander Police Department and the Travis County Sheriffโs Office โ to ensure that highly trained law enforcement officers are present in LISD schools. SROs help create a welcoming environment on campuses while ensuring the safety of students and staff.
Shฤ Rogers, executive director of safety and security, says the support SROs provide is essential. “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of our School Resource Officers and all of our local law enforcement partners for their unwavering support and dedication to safety at LISD,โ Rogers said. โWe could not provide a safe learning environment for students and a safe work environment for our employees without each of you. Thank you.”
