Leander ISD is celebrating Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Appreciation Day May 18.
“We are incredibly thankful for all of the SLPs in LISD. We know that we have the absolute best. From the work that they do in direct therapy services to consultations and evaluations, we could not meet the needs of our individual students without them,” Director of Special Programs and Services Kimberly Waltmon said. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, SLPs, and celebrate big.”
There are currently about 40 SLPs serving in LISD. Today, we are featuring three: Lainy Carta at Bush Elementary, Nora Chuo at Running Brushy Middle School and Martha Tercero at Rouse High School and Wiley Middle School.
