Leander ISD’s newest school, Hisle Elementary School (1913 Frontenac St, Leander, TX 78641), will have a dedication ceremony Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024.
Come for a tour of the building, storytime in the library, collaborative art and much more. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 10 a.m. to have maximum time to experience the interactive activities planned by Hisle staff and students. The event will conclude with a Hisle Huddle in the multipurpose room.
The school is named after a long-time Board of Trustees member, Donald Hisle, who served on the LISD Board for 23 years before retiring in 2018. During his tenure as a Trustee, Hisle’s leadership helped oversee the district’s growth from 8 schools to 42 schools and from less than 10,000 students to nearly 40,000 students.
