Leander ISD Early College High School (ECHS) is now accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year. ECHS is a great option for 8th-grade students who would benefit from obtaining their high school diploma while also earning an associate degree tuition-free. Leander ISD’s Early College High School makes this possible through the district’s partnership with Austin Community College at the San Gabriel Campus.
ECHS combines high expectations, academic rigor through inquiry-based instruction, and individualized student support to prepare our scholars for academic success.
Scholars for the school’s fourth cohort will be selected through a blind lottery process later in the spring for incoming 2026-27 9th-graders. The deadline to apply is Thursday, February 1, 2026.
Current 9th graders who wish to transfer into Early College High School beginning in their sophomore year are also encouraged to apply.
