Channing Riggins at Rouse High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education Teacher Spotlight of the Month.

As part of the Arts, A/V Technology and Communications cluster, Riggins teaches graphic design classes at RHS. She took over the school’s graphic design program in 2021 and just last year more than 20 of her students received industry-based certifications in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

“Channing has been a great addition to the CTE department at Rouse,” RHS associate principal Stratton Brown said. “Over the past year, she has shown great flexibility to accommodate the needs of students and our campus. She has a willingness to grow professionally to ensure she is presenting the most recent curriculum and graphic design technologies in her classroom.”

When Riggins is not supporting her graphic design students or coaching Rouse’s cheer team, she also dedicates her time to support graphic design teachers across Leander ISD as the Graphic Design Professional Learning Community (PLC) Lead.
