Scott Hayes at Rouse High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education Teacher Spotlight of the Month.
As part of the Business, Marketing & Finance cluster, Hayes teaches all entrepreneurship classes at Rouse High School. During his first year at Rouse, more than 15 of his students earned industry-based certifications.
Hayes brings a unique perspective to his role with years of teaching experience, including several years in the coaching world, which helps him actively engage his students both in and out of the classroom.
“Since joining RHS, Mr. Hayes has increased student interest in business courses and has been an advocate for all Raiders,” Rouse Associate Principal Stratton Brown said. ”He brings a wealth of real-world knowledge into the classroom that enhances the curriculum. His positive attitude is a natural draw for students and staff alike.”
Alongside his accomplishments in the classroom, Hayes actively participates in all recruitment events on campus, helping to grow the program over last year’s numbers with plans to continue serving students of Rouse High School.
