A young man’s passion led to helping others during the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s what makes Ryan Liu Leander ISD Career & Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week!
Ryan started to voluntarily attend Williamson County Medical Reserve Corp meetings out of the desire to serve others in need. Through his initiative, the Cedar Park High School sophomore created a connection between WCCHD MRC & Cedar Park HS HOSA that has strengthened a commitment to public health. As a result, Ryan has worked diligently to recruit other HOSA members to be part of this partnership.
Ryanโs outpouring of service led his team through several endeavors: creating holiday cards for senior citizens, making Alzheimerโs blankets for shaky hands and educating fellow students about COVID-19. Ultimately, he submitted these initiatives to HOSAโs Area One MRC competition. Ryanโs amazing MRC team won third place and is advancing to State! Great job, Ryan!
โHe is a kind person and exceptional student that has demonstrated his natural leadership skills by starting this team and running with it!โ Cedar Park HS health science teacher Shannon McPherson said. โIโm super excited to see what else he will achieve in the future!โ
With vitals so strong, weโre proud to recognize Ryan LiuโLISD CTE Student of the Week!
