Sophomore Chloe Smith at Leander High School is the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week.
Chloe is part of the Animal Science program at LHS and is in her second year with Leander FFA, where she currently serves as the Chapter Recorder. She has raised goats with the livestock show team for the past two years.
Chloe has participated in Leadership Development Contests in Job Interview, and the Career Development Contests with Agricultural Sales, Forage and Veterinary Medical Technology. She has also participated in the Agricultural Science Fair. She won Grand Champion at the Greater Leander Agricultural Science Fair and placed in the finals at the San Antonio Agricultural Science Fair.
“Chloe has shown a great passion and dedication towards agriculture. She is a student that shines bright and can always be counted on,” Agricultural Science Teacher Emily Veraa said. “Her leadership in the livestock barn, the classroom and in the FFA helps so many of her fellow members. I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next.”
