The October CTE Partner of the Month is Beckett Electrical Services, for their support of the Electrical program of study and Skills USA team at Leander High School. For the past several years, the company has donated their time and thousands of dollars in material to support students to practice the hands-on skills involved with working in this industry.

The company owner, Jesse Beckett, also happens to be a product of LHS’ Electrical Technology & Engineering program. His positive experience in the program has led to his support of students and teachers in the program today.

“There has not been one time that I have asked Jesse for support with material or employing one of my students that he has answered no,” Electrical engineering teacher Ronny Williams said. “I know I can always count on his support when needed.”

In addition to donations, Beckett Electrical has also provided employment in the summer for underclassmen as well as hiring seniors for full-time employment upon graduation.  Approximately 60-70 percent of the company’s employees participated in the LHS Electrical Technology Program.

Leander CTE is grateful to Beckett Electrical staff who made this experience possible for our Electrical Technology students.

Each month of the 2023-24 school year, the Career and Technical Education department of Leander ISD is recognizing a community partner that has made an exceptional impact on the district’s CTE students or programs. These partnerships are at the core of CTE’s mission to give students valuable, hands-on learning experiences with industry professionals.
