Leander ISD is proud to salute Cedar Park High School’s Nadira King for being named the 2017-2018 Texas Coach of the Year for Girls Spirit by the National Federation of High School Coaches. Nominated last November by the University Scholastic League, King is one of a select number of coaches being honored nationwide for their accomplishments.
“It is such an honor to be recognized by the NFHS,” King said. “I would not be able to receive such an accolade if I wasn’t blessed to work with the amazing young women I have had the opportunity to coach over the years.”

![In the Automotive Program of Study at Rouse High School, students study automotive basics and automotive technology, and eventually complete a practicum in transportation systems.
“If I didn’t have this program, I wouldn’t feel really prepared for my future plans – I want to be a BWM technician,” Glenn High School student Javier Peña said. “And the fact that there’s a program out there in this district that [prepares students] is just amazing.”
