At the LISD Board Meeting Thursday, Sept. 2, 2016, LISD’s Business Services staff was recognized for their work in LISD being awarded the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the district’s fiscal year 2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) submission.
These awards represent the highest form of recognition in the area of government accounting and financial reporting, further confirming LISD’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. This is the district’s 18th consecutive year to receive both awards, a true reflection of the entire organization’s commitment to fiscal integrity.
