Leander ISD’s 5A and 6A Cross Country Teams from all six high schools had a great run at the UIL State XC meets held at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.
At the 5A meet, Cedar Park High School’s Isabel Conde de Frankenberg placed 2nd in the girls’ race, while Rouse High School’s Edwin Rotich placed 3rd in the boys’. Glenn High School competed in the meet for the first time in school history, thanks to student-athlete Emma Belliveau.
At the 6A meet, Vandegrift High School’s Hudson Haley raced to 2nd place with Dylan Schieffelin following in 7th, leading to a 2nd place team finish for the Vandegrift boys’ team. The Vandegrift girls team placed 8th.
