Senior Owen Mietus from Rouse High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Owen is a senior member of the Raider football team, captain of the wrestling team and also competes on the track team. Academically, he has earned a 4.0 unweighted GPA and is a three-time Academic All District Team member and member of the National Honor Society.
“Owen is an amazing young adult who loves his teammates and his school,” Rouse Head Football Coach Josh Mann said. “He drives himself each and every day to be the best student-athlete he can be for himself and his teammates. His determination is unmatched!”
Owen holds multiple leadership positions in his church youth group and has completed a 4 year seminary certificate from his church. During his freshman year, he even found time to play the saxophone in the Rouse band.
