Junior Andreas Martinez at Glenn High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week.

Andreas is a student in the Digital Communications: Audio/Video (A/V) Production program at Glenn, where he has recently been named Executive Producer of one of the A/V programs.

“Andreas has stepped up and been leading since before the start of school. He volunteers to film and support anyone and any program here at Glenn,” A/V Production Teacher Keaton Anderson said. “I am so proud and grateful to have Andreas as a student.”

Andreas said that his favorite part of the A/V Production program is being able to create films with the freedom to explore a variety of creative ideas. He is especially grateful to his teachers, including Anderson.

“Mr. Anderson has helped me grow as a human,” Andreas said. “He’s always helped me with stuff even if he doesn’t understand it. He also really tries to get me engaged in everything we learn. Now as an executive producer, he shows me how to engage others.”

Outside of his participation in the A/V Production program, Andreas enjoys watching and playing soccer, boxing and MMA, video games, cars and participating in church activities.
