From now until Sept. 24, the Leander Independent School District campus with the most completed School Meal Benefit applications will have the opportunity to award one teacher $1,000!
This special incentive is made possible through a partnership with Southwest Foodservice Excellence, LISD’s food service management company.
And here’s the most important part: Families do NOT have to qualify for meal benefits to help a teacher win!
Even if you are certain your family won’t qualify, every completed application counts toward your school’s total. One quick, confidential application helps your campus get one step closer to awarding a deserving teacher $1,000 for school supplies.
Many families are surprised to learn they are approved and benefits extend beyond the cafeteria. Eligible families can receive valuable meal benefits, while completed applications help schools access important state and federal funding and resources, including funding for programs such as Title I and technology grants.
As a reminder, families who were approved for benefits in 2025 should complete a new application before Sept. 24th to ensure their benefits continue for the 2026-2027 school year!
