Eighth Grader William Johnson from Henry Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Will is a member of the Hawk football and basketball teams. He plans on running track in the spring and also plays baseball outside of school.
“Aside from being a tremendous multi-sport athlete, Will is developing a work ethic and leadership skills that separate him from the other student athletes his age group,” Boys Athletic Coordinator Craig West said.
Will is not only an outstanding multi-sport athlete but an excellent student, recording all A’s on his report cards in 6th and 7th grade and receiving the Soaring Hawk Award in 7th grade. He is also a member of the National Junior Honor Society.
