Senior Andre Wood from Vista Ridge High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Andre is a member of the Ranger baseball team. He has signed to play baseball at the United States Naval Academy while he works toward becoming a pilot.
“Andre is a phenomenal competitor and exemplifies what it means to be a student athlete,” Vista Ridge High School’s Head Baseball Coach Matt Garver said. “In his last start he pitched a 1 hit, 10 strikeout shutout and also had the game winning RBI double. He is currently in the top 5 in all of 6A in strikeouts.”
Andre is also an A Honor Roll Student.
