Senior Madison Howard from Vandegrift High School is the Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Madison is the 2023-2024 Colonel of the Legacies Dance Team. In addition to leading the Varsity Dance Team, she is a member of National Honor Society, Key Club and Rho Kappa. She has received many solo awards at the Regional and State level. She recently represented the Legacies Dance Team at the Texas Dance Educators Association as an All-State Dancer and was awarded the TDEA Founders Scholarship.
According to her directors, Madison as a team mindset and gives 100% every single day to the Legacies.
“Madison is an incredible asset as the Colonel of the Legacies Dance Team. She is a natural leader who has a heart for others and a strong passion for dance,” Legacies Dance Directors, Holly Lyons and Alexa Olson said. “She constantly creates a supportive and positive environment for those around her and can connect with others on a deeper level. She is an exceptional student who has left a lasting impact on the Legacies organization!”
