4 LISD Middle Schoolers Receive National NJHS Recognition
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) selects 500 students across the nation to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award. This year, 80 of those students were in Texas and four were from right here in Leander ISD.

LISD Board Approves 2.5% of Midpoint Increase for All Employees
The Board approved a 2024–25 compensation plan with pay raises of 2.5 percent of midpoint for every staff member. This raise would be reflected in employees’ first 2024–25 paycheck.

The Vandegrift Girls Golf team claimed the top spot at the UIL State 6A Golf Championships for the second year in a row, catapulting themselves to the top of the leaderboard on Day 2 and finishing with a 5-shot lead on their closest competitor.

LISD Athletes Medal at 2024 State Track & Field Meet
Two Leander ISD student-athletes raced their way to the podium at the 2024 UIL Track and Field 5A and 6A state meets! At Friday’s 5A meet, Cedar Park High School Senior Isabel Conde De Frankenberg took first place in the girls 800m race and picked up a silver medal later in the day in the girls 1600m race. On Saturday, Vista Ridge High School Junior Emma Wade raced her way to a silver medal, finishing second in the 6A girls 1600m race.
