We’re so excited to have our #1LISD teachers and staff back on campus ahead of the start of what will be an amazing 2024–2025 school year! We’re going to kick it off in style at Thursday’s Convocation: Power of the Past, Force of the Future.

The event will take place at Shoreline Church during two sessions divided by feeder patterns – one at 8:30 a.m. and one at 10:30 a.m. [see campus groupings]

We want to honor your hard work and commitment to empower learners through a Convocation you won’t forget. Arrive early for food truck trailers and vendors and then take a seat to witness phenomenal student performances and celebrate LEEF’s grant award winners. Festivities lead up to a keynote address from bestselling author and speaker A.J. Juliani.

Transportation

Be sure to check with your campus principal about traveling to the venue together. There will also be parking available on site. [see map of parking lot]

What to Wear

All #1LISD staff are asked to wear their own campus/team spirit shirts to Convocation. At the event, district shirts will be handed out at designated locations. Please advise all staff to stop by one of the tables located outside of the East and West entrances at Shoreline when they arrive to get their #PowerofthePast #ForceoftheFuture district T-shirt.

Food Options

There will be a variety of options for food at Convocation. Glazed donuts and black coffee will be set up at the East and West entrances. Coffee will also be served at the Cafe at the main entrance of Shoreline. And if you’d like something more substantial, there will be food trucks outside the main entrance with food available for purchase. [food truck menu]
