Senior Cassidy Janda from Vista Ridge High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Cassidy is team captain of the Lady Ranger soccer team. She has been in the soccer program all four years of high school and has earned the title of Legacy Captain. Cassidy is also a school student section leader.
Vista Ridge Girls Soccer Coach Shad Green said that Cassidy exemplifies the word “leader” and what it means to be a Lady Ranger.
“Cassidy is constantly encouraging, supporting and including her teammates to not only hold them to the standards of Lady Ranger soccer, but to ensure they are fully engaged and feel a part of the team,” Green said. “One can always find Cassidy in the stands supporting her classmates or involved in student organizations that help create an inviting and invigorating school environment. She is an exceptional young lady, a tremendous student and will be an outstanding asset to any school or organization she is a part of.”
