Do you know a current eighth-grade student who would benefit from obtaining their high school diploma while also earning an associate degree TUITION FREE?  Leander ISD has partnered with Austin Community College to create LISD’s Early College High School (ECHS).  LISD ECHS combines high expectations, academic rigor through inquiry-based instruction, and individualized student supports to prepare our scholars for academic success. 

LISD ECHS will soon be selecting the second cohort through a blind lottery process for incoming 2023-24 ninth graders.  All interested students must complete and submit an application for admission prior to the deadline.  The application submission window is Jan. 3 – March 3, 2023.  Applications will be available on our ECHS website and through middle school counselors.

Early College High School opened at the start of this school year as Leander ISD’s newest high school and school of choice. Graduates earn their high school diploma, distinguished with honors, from Leander ISD and an Associate of Arts in General Studies tuition-free from ACC.
