The resounding sweet sound of success is coming from our Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week Elijah Woodson!

The Rouse High School junior leads the RHS Marching Band as a drill instructor. Elijah’s list of achievements as a musician includes second chair at Area as a freshman and sophomore, as well as a finalist in the Rouse Young Artist Finals last year. Since he was a freshman, Elijah has belonged to the top ensemble at Rouse.

“Elijah Woodson is a student that goes above and beyond the expectations required of him,” RHS assistant band director Caitlin Wolf said. “He is kind, compassionate, and an extremely hard worker.”

When Elijah isn’t focusing on marching band, he serves as the president of the Rouse Relaxes Club. The organization helps relieve student stress and worries through developing coping strategies and giving highschoolers a place where they feel welcomed. Notwithstanding, Elijah’s brilliance syncs up academically; he’s in the top 9% of his class!

Cue the horns! Leander ISD’s Fine Arts Student of the Week Elijah Woodson is blaring with greatness. Congratulations!
