Luke Xu, an eighth grader from Four Points Middle School, is the Fine Arts Student of the Week.

Luke is an incredible performer and leader for his section in the FPMS Wind Ensemble. He is not only the section leader, but has earned first chair in the Region 32 Band and Region 32 Orchestra. He was also a member of the 2022 FPMS Wind Ensemble Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) State band finalist.

Band Director Jessica Gonzales said that Luke is a huge asset to the band program.

“Luke has been a positive role model and an inspiration to his section as the clarinet section leader in the Wind Ensemble,” Gonzales said. “Luke is a fantastic musician, and we feel so lucky to have him as a member of the FPMS Band.”

Not only does Luke excel in the band hall, but he also takes high school level math and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society.
