Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week Brooke Dickerson isn’t technically good; she’s superb!

For the past three years, the Vandegrift High School senior has left her mark on VHS Theatre department. Both on and off stage, she contributes as a performer and stage technician. Booke has served as the stage manager for several productions including this year’s fall play, Puffs. As light board operator, she shined during the musical The Wizard of Oz and in this year’s UIL one-act play, The Gold Thief. Recently, Ms. Dickerson saved the day at VHS’ bi-district competition. When the show’s 50+ light cues were corrupted right before competition, Ms. Dickerson managed to replicate every cue manually on the spot during the competition.

“Brooke is the epitome of a team player,” Vandegrift HS Technical Theatre Director Jeff Davis said. “She excels at supporting others, sharing her knowledge, and expanding her horizons as a performer and technician. She rivals and surpasses many of the professionals I’ve worked with, and it is an honor to work with her every day.”

Congratulations to Brooke Dickerson–Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week!
