Leander ISD staff and students, along with community members from around Central Texas, came together Saturday Feb. 24, 2024, at McNeil High School in Round Rock ISD for this year’s annual “Destination… Life” Transition Fair and Conference. The conference, hosted by more than 10 Central Texas school districts, helps families prepare and support their student(s) with disabilities for life beyond high school.
One of the highlights of the conference was a panel session lead by Leander ISD Senior Coordinator of Special Education Transition Services, Denise Geiger. The session featured four former Leander ISD transition students who shared their inspirational stories of employment success with current students and community members from around Central Texas.
