Leander Lazers Showcase Basketball Skills

The Leander Lazers athletes put their skills on full display during the annual Basketball Showcase Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Cedar Park Middle School. During the showcase, athletes competed in individual skills, team skills, 3-on-3 half-court play, and full-court traditional basketball with Special Olympic athletes taking on a team of high school players from around the district. The clinic also allowed coaches the opportunity to assess the skill levels of the athletes. In addition, this clinic provided students in the district the chance to serve their community and learn leadership skills.

TEA Releases Annual Accountability Reports for 2021–22

The Texas Education Agency released the State of Texas 2021–22 School Report Card for each campus. This is a report required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. The report provides information concerning student performance during the previous school year on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures.

Leander ISD is excited to announce the continuation of Leander Virtual Learning Academy for the 2023-24 school year. For students in elementary and middle school grades, the Virtual Learning Academy offers, small class sizes, synchronous learning, and digital and hands-on-learning experiences that align with Leander ISD’s curriculum.

Leander Middle School hosted this year’s Sodexo Taste of Leander ISD Healthy Fun Food Festival. This year’s theme was “Heart Healthy” and included a colorful array of tasty food items for students to enjoy, including A-Z fresh fruit and vegetable samples.
