Congratulations to the students and directors of the bands from Stiles Middle School, Leander High School, and Vandegrift High School for their selections to perform at the 2020 Midwest Clinic in Chicago!

An invitation to participate at the Midwest Clinic is considered one of the highest honors that a public school band can achieve. We believe this is the first time that three bands from a single school district have been selected to perform the same year in the 73-year history of the Clinic.

“The Midwest Clinic is the premiere performance opportunity for bands and instrumental ensembles in the world,” Leander ISD Fine Arts Director Peter Warshaw said. “The unique mix of educators and composers attending the clinic make the convention a one-of-a-kind experience for the participating students and their directors.”

The 4-day band and orchestra conference takes place in December, featuring concerts and clinics for aspiring young musicians.

Bravo to these outstanding students and to their directors!
