Gloria Lee has remained a dedicated volunteer at Winkley Elementary, even after her grandson moved on to middle school. She is an essential part of the Winkley library and a bright spot on campus.
“Gloria is a beautiful reminder that purpose drives community service,” Principal Davina Stringer said. “Her passion for supporting our library program and Winkley students is inspiring, and her spunk and humor are a bonus!”
She lights up as students enter the library where she helps out, and She greets all the students as if they were her grandchildren. They love her and seek her out to get their “Ms. Gloria” hugs.
Because of her unwavering dedication in service to students, Leander ISD recognizes Gloria Lee as Volunteer of the Week.
