The Vandegrift Girls Golf team claimed the top spot at the UIL State 6A Golf Championships for the second year in a row, catapulting themselves to the top of the leaderboard on Day 2 and finishing with a 5-shot lead on their closest competitor.
Leading the Vipers were a tandem of individual medalists: 🥇 Swetha Sathish and 🥈 Sydney Givens. Both golfers were neck and neck before Sathish jumped ahead, tallying a two-day score of 6 under to win the individual crown. Givens finished closely behind in second with a score of 2 under.
