2025 Bleeding Control Training for Students

House Bill 496 in 2019 requires Texas school districts to offer bleeding control training to students in grades 7–12. We’re organizing some voluntary training sessions for our students. Each session can take up to 100 7th-12th-grade students from each LISD feeder pattern.

Leander ISD has student health clinics in 45 schools, staffed by Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and Clinic Assistants. The mission of our health services team is to work collaboratively to ensure the health and safety of our school community while acting in a professional, respectful and empathetic manner.
