Thank you to LISD staff for kicking off the #SR4A Book Drive in spectacular fashion! During Monday’s Staff Development Day, district staff brought in a whopping 7,978 books, which smashes our all time launch record and puts us well on our way toward our goal of collecting at least 10,000 books.

And a special salute to these campuses, the tops at each grade level, for leading the charge:

  • River Ridge Elementary School 1472 books! (Back-to-Back #sr4a launch champs)
  • Cedar Park Middle School 1311 books! (Back-to-Back #sr4a launch champs)
  • Glenn High School 865 books!

Our community can help by donating gently used books at any LISD school library through April 26 to directly support our efforts to keep all students reading during the summer. Be on the lookout for campus activities that support this cause, especially in conjunction Half Price Books (April 13–29).
