Fashionista. Pet lover. And, now, Summer Reader of the Week. Holly Dawson is taking everything she learns and showcasing her passion!

The 4th-grader at Bagdad Elementary is looking for graphic novels, books about animals and books with magic to fill out her summer stack. Her favorite books are  The Amazing World of Gumball: Recipe for Disaster by Ben Bocquelet and Diary of a Pug: Pug Blasts Off by Kyla May.

Confident in her reading ability and excelling in school, Holly infuses her flair into everything she does.

“I like to go shopping and put fashion in everything I wear,” said Holly. “I want to be a veterinarian when I grow up, so I can help animals in need and make their owners happier. I like participating in events and contests, and I personally love drawing and painting.”

Her mother Jenn Dawson says Holly uses her love for reading to inspire others to find the joy of one of her favorite pastimes.

“Holly has loved books ever since she was a baby,” Jenn said. “She has always been fascinated with stories or learning facts from them. She loves to read to others, and she loves to share books she reads at school with us. It is so fun and enjoyable! I am very proud.”

For her strut down the runway of reading, Summer Reader of the Week Holly Dawson is all the rage. Congratulations!
