Vista Ridge High School junior Ansley Herrinhas been named the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week. Herrin is a standout athlete in the Lady Ranger golf and basketball programs. Last year, Herrin was a 2nd Team All-District basketball player, who works extremely hard to be the best she can be on the basketball court and on the golf course.
While juggling an intense practice and competition schedule, Herrin is also a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society and is on the leadership team for her youth group at church. In the classroom, Herrin is an A student at the top of her class.
“Ansley is an example of what a student-athlete should be,” Head Girls Basketball Coach Keith Allen said. “She works hard and is a great person. Ansley shows up every day with a positive attitude and a willingness to work.”
Ansley Herrin demonstrates what it means to be a true student-athlete, and Leander ISD is proud to name her as Student-Athlete of the Week.
