Leander ISD is honored to name Makenzie James as the Student-Athlete of the Week.
Makenzie is a senior at Rouse High School and a member of the state-finalist Lady Raider Volleyball Team. In addition to volleyball, Makenzie finds time to serve in the Health Occupations Students of America organization and National Honor Society. Makenzie takes care of business in the classroom, and currently has a GPA of over 5.0.
“Makenzie stands for all that is good in athletics,” said Rouse head volleyball coach Jacob Thompson. “She is loyal, honorable and respectful. Makenzie has not missed a single day of practice since August, and has worked hard to make everyone around her better.”
Makenzie James showcases what it means to be a true student-athlete, and Leander ISD Athletics is proud to name her as the Student-Athlete of the Week.
