LISD is proud to announce Leander High School’s Cole Smith as the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Cole is a junior on the Leander Lion Varsity Golf team and has qualified for numerous varsity tournaments, including the Delaware Springs Golf Tournament. In addition to golf, Cole participates in SkillsUSA, a career and technical student organization that prepares students for careers in trade and technical service occupations. Cole finished 13th in the Technical Math Competition, the most difficult of the SkillsUSA contests. Cole was also a member of the Quiz Bowl team that finished 4th.
“Cole is a hard working student-athlete that represents Leander High School and Leander ISD well,” Leander Head Golf Coach Blake Boyett said. “Cole goes above and beyond to put in the extra work it requires to contribute to his team and make his golf game the best it can be.”
