Leander ISD is proud to announce Running Brushy Middle School standout Jace Poole as the LISD Student-Athlete of the Week.

Jace is a member of the Cougar eighth-grade cross country, football, basketball and track teams. At the Leander ISD District Track Meet, Jace won five gold medals, including the long jump, triple jump, 400 meter run, 800 meter run and as the anchor on the 1600-meter relay team. Jace finished the district meet as the Leander ISD point leader among eighth-grade boys.

 In the classroom, Jace has been on the LISD A Honor Roll every grading period and is an active member of the National Junior Honor Society.

“Jace is a fierce competitor, a hard-working young man and a great leader and student-athlete,” said Boys Athletic Coordinator Ryan West. “He is an outstanding representative of Leander ISD and Running Brushy Middle School.
