Launching into a new position during the pandemic didn’t phase long-time volunteer and former Leander ISD employee Christine Mauer. She lifted off into our Place 3 Trustee position last November like the rockets she enthusiastically watches with her sons. As we recognize our fantastic, seven-member Board of Trustees, we want to highlight Christine’s service.
The parent of four boys, Christine has navigated the world of school STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and fine arts programs through her kids. She brings her leadership with the Vista Ridge High School Band booster club and math pentathlon to her new role. The details she learned as a former instructional assistant and substitute teacher contribute to the vision she’s shaping as a Trustee.
