Congratulations to the nine #1LISD wrestlers who withstood daunting brackets and found a way to the podium of the UIL State Wrestling Tournament Feb. 14–15, 2025, at the Berry Center in Cypress. To start, 32 wrestlers – plus alternates – representing all six Leander ISD high schools qualified for the two-day tournament.
Cedar Park HS took finished as the state runner-up in the team standings behind an impressive four podium finishes. The Timberwolves’ Nathan Reilly, a sophomore, led the way notching his second state championship – this time at the 113-pound weight class after winning at the 106-pound weight class as a freshman.
Another eight wrestlers, with a loss, battled back through the consolation side of the bracket where a finish in the 3rd- to 6th-place range remained possible.
