From reading to gymnastics, LISD Super Kid Valeria Zambrano-Ceniceros bends her mind and her body toward the pursuit of excellence.

Valeria is thriving in fourth-grade at Reed Elementary. She demonstrates the seven habits in her daily life. Using this framework allows her to take responsibility, show discipline and think “team”.

Because of Reed’s designation as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, the campus has a Student Lighthouse Team. This group acts similar to a student council, designed to work together to organize and encourage. As a member of Reed’s Student Lighthouse Team, Valeria takes on leadership roles, exemplifying kindness and inclusion of all students’ ideas.

Reed Elementary Principal Paige Collier sees Valeria’s compassion and eloquence.

“She spreads joy to others,” she said, “Truly a role model!”

Jorgelina Marengo, fourth-grade Dual Language teacher, agrees.

“I admire her self motivation to always go past her limits.”

Valeria spends her free time with arts and crafts. She enjoys playing with her dog Lola.

Lots to love about LISD Super Kid Valeria Zambrano-Ceniceros! Congratulations!
