March 23–27 marks Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Appreciation Week in Leander ISD, and we are proud to recognize the incredible impact of our dedicated SLP team.
Speech language pathologists play an essential role in supporting students’ communication, learning, and overall development. This week provides an opportunity to pause and express our sincere appreciation for the expertise, care, and commitment they bring to their work every day.
Across Leander ISD, SLPs serve students from early childhood through high school, assessing and supporting a wide range of communication needs.
From helping students strengthen articulation and language skills to supporting those who rely on augmentative and alternative communication, our SLPs open doors for students to express themselves, build relationships and engage fully in their learning. Their work strengthens not only academic progress but also students’ confidence and ability to connect with the world around them.
“Our district is fortunate to have a team of 51 talented SLPs whose knowledge, compassion and dedication make a meaningful difference for students and families every day,” said Paige Collier, LISD assistant superintendent of special programs. “Their influence is felt in classrooms, therapy rooms, and countless moments of student growth and success. During this special week, we proudly celebrate their contributions and thank them for the critical role they play in the Leander ISD community.”
