Eighth Grader Zahida Hashimi from Leander Middle School is the Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
According to her teachers, Zahida is an amazing art student who uses her critical thinking skills and diligent effort to create incredible works of art.
“Zahida not only stands out in the art classroom, but throughout the school as a student aid and member of the No Place for Hate committee,” Visual Arts Teacher Blair Kennington said. “She is conscientious, hard-working and kind.”
When Zahida isn’t creating art, she can be found assisting in the front office as a student aid and participating in the No Place for Hate Committee.
