Senior Oscar Delgado from Vista Ridge High School is the Leander ISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Oscar is a two-time TMEA All-State musician, VRHS Young Artist Competition Finalist, mellophone section leader, AYO Musician and much more. Recently Oscar was accepted into Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute, and University of Southern California. Oscar will be pursuing Horn Performance at one of these universities, pending scholarship information.
“Oscar is an incredible student, leader and musician who has had an incredible impact on the Vista Ridge High School band program,” Associate Band Director Zach Santos said. “His musical prowess is truly exceptional, and we can’t wait to see what he will accomplish as he begins his French Horn performance journey.”
