Do you have an 8th-grade student who would benefit from obtaining their high school diploma while also earning an associate degree tuition free? Leander ISD’s Early College High School makes this possible through the district’s partnership with Austin Community College at the San Gabriel Campus.
ECHS combines high expectations, academic rigor through inquiry-based instruction, and individualized student supports to prepare our scholars for academic success.
LISD ECHS is now accepting applications for its third cohort, which will then be selected through a blind lottery process later in the spring for incoming 2024–25 9th-graders. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 8, 2024.
Recruitment Town Halls
In an effort to offer interested 8th-grade students and their families the opportunity to learn more about the Early College HS program, a series of town halls have been added to the calendar:
- Thursday, Feb. 1, from 6–7 p.m. in the ECHS Multipurpose Room at the ACC San Gabriel Campus
- Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10–11 a.m. on Zoom | Password: ECHS2024!
- Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 6–7 p.m. in the Cedar Park MS library
- Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 6–7 p.m. in the Wiley MS library

Early College HS abre el plazo de inscripción para el año escolar 2024-25
¿Tiene usted un estudiante de 8º grado que se beneficiaría de obtener su diploma de escuela preparatoria y al mismo tiempo obtener un título universitario de dos años sin costo de matrícula? Esto es posible en la escuela preparatoria Early College de Leander ISD gracias a la asociación del distrito con Austin Community College en el campus de San Gabriel.
ECHS combina altas expectativas, rigor académico a través de una enseñanza basada en la investigación y apoyos individualizados a los estudiantes para prepararlos para el éxito académico.
LISD ECHS está aceptando solicitudes en este momento para su tercera cohorte, que luego se seleccionará mediante un proceso de sorteo más adelante en la primavera para los estudiantes de noveno grado que ingresen en 2024-25. La fecha límite para presentar solicitudes es el viernes 8 de marzo de 2024.
