Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D., has appointed Beckie Webster as the principal of Monta Akin Elementary School, the district’s 26th elementary school, opening this fall.
“I am excited to announce Beckie Webster as the principal of Monta Akin Elementary,” Troxell said. “Mrs. Webster is a dynamic leader who brings a vast amount of experience in best instructional practices and establishing systems to support achievement for all students. Her passion for learning and drive for excellence will serve the students, staff and community of our newest school well.”
Webster began her career in Comal ISD as a third-grade teacher in 1998. She joined Leander ISD in 2001 and has taught at Giddens Elementary School and Pleasant Hill Elementary School. Webster took on a leadership role as the assistant principal at Whitestone Elementary School before becoming principal, a position she has held for seven years.
Webster earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Texas State University.
