Leander ISD Superintendent Dan Troxell, Ph.D., announced Lauren Meeks as the new principal of Parkside Elementary School on Monday, June 25.
“Lauren has worked her entire educational career in Leander ISD, and she is a proven leader in our district,” Troxell said. “Throughout her career, Lauren has shown an impressive dedication to education and a deep passion for student learning. She has developed a superb track record of successful collaborations among staff, with parents and with the community.”
Lauren began her teaching career in 2006 as an elementary teacher at Giddens Elementary, later serving as a teacher and instructional coach at Reagan Elementary, and is currently an assistant principal at Henry Middle School.
“I am thrilled to join the Mustang community!” Meeks said. “Leading Parkside Elementary is truly an honor. I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with students, staff and families to build on all the success that has grown Parkside into the excellent elementary school it is today. Go Mustangs!”
Meeks earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas State University and her master’s degree from Lamar University.
