This is a regular update from Leander ISD on our response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Travis and Williamson counties have directed residents to shelter in place through April 13. As a reminder, all LISD buildings and facilities are closed through April 5 at this time. For the most up-to-date information, please visit our COVID-19 webpage.
Teaching and Learning Department Offers Resources to Parents, Guidance for Video Meetings
As our community adjusts to the new normal of families working from home and supporting their children’s learning, our teaching and learning department has resources and guidance to share. As a part of our growing, evolving LISD Support Site, we offer helpful suggestions on helping your child learn at home and best practices regarding video meetings as we expand opportunities for distance learning.
Report Card and Progress Report Update
We understand families and students are anxious to understand the current status and procedures going forward with regards to report cards and progress reporters. As we focus on the present challenges of distance learning, no report cards or progress reports will be sent out until after April 5. Thank you for your patience as our teams plan for next steps in a quickly-changing environment.
Counseling Services Plan During School Closure
While our campuses are closed, counselors will continue to support the needs of our students and families. The safety and emotional well being of our students is our top priority.
