The Vandegrift HS Girls Golf team returned as the state silver medalists after competing at the UIL state tournament April 28-29 at the White Wing Golf Course in Georgetown.

Building on a successful first day at the tournament, the Viper girls finished the two-day tournament in second place, three strokes off the lead. This marks the fifth-straight year the VHS girls team has finished in the top two at the state level.

Shoutout to Michaela Partridge, who earned the UIL 6A Girls Golf silver medal as an individual, who combined to shoot right at par over the two days, two strokes behind the leader.

Congratulations to the entire girls golf team β€” Addison Bandelier, Tiffany Wong, Michaela Patridge, Navya Modi, Shelly Areepitak. Way to make #1LISD proud!
