Garrett Stacey is investing in the next generation in a powerful way. For two years now, Garrett has mentored fourth and fifth-grade boys at Knowles Elementary.

He has been a consistent positive role model for students by developing meaningful relationships to help activate their potential.

“Growing up today is a lot different than years past. Many kids feel stress from society and school,” Principal Lara Labbe-Maginel said. “Garrett has been an encourager and support to some of our students that just needed a little more support. He is always positive and encouraging and reliable for these students.”

Garrett also tries to take care of teachers. About three times a year, he sends trays of cookies for the teachers with a letter of encouragement simply thanking teachers for all they do for students.

Because of his unwavering dedication in service to students, Leander ISD recognizes Garrett Stacey as Volunteer of the Week.
